 The OLYMPUS SHOWDOWN began as a grassroots two-day fitness competition, attracting hundreds of athletes and thousands of spectators in 2023. It has since become the premier functional fitness festival in Greece.
The OLYMPUS SHOWDOWN returns to Larissa City for a two-day competition on September 21-22, 2024, bringing together athletes, spectators, and fitness enthusiasts to celebrate Fitness, Community, and Life.
This exciting functional fitness event includes five workouts over two days, offering spectators a dynamic experience with one of the largest collections of vendors and exhibitors, nutrition seminars, healthy food options, and other attractions.

Held at the ALCAZAR ATHLETIC CENTER in the heart of Larissa city center, the OLYMPUS SHOWDOWN has become a key event on the fitness community calendar.
The standards outlined serve as a guide for competing in the OLYMPUS SHOWDOWN, focusing on working weights and movements that can be performed for multiple repetitions.

Team

  • RX'd (M/F): 20 slots

Individual male

  • Elite M: 30 slots
  • Intermediate M: 40 slots
  • Rookies M: 40 slots

Individual female

  • Elite F: 10 slots

Age Group

  • Master 35 M: 10 slots
  • Master 40 M: 10 slots
  • Master 45+ M: 10 slots
  • Master Female: 10 slots

Intermediate Men: If you have been doing this sport for a while, have already mastered the scaled weights & skills and are looking for an extra push, then you should sign up in this division! In this division we program double unders, single leg T2B, pull-ups, wall walks, wall balls 9/6 KG and weightlifting and objects with slightly heavier weights than scaled but not too heavy. You may have done a Scaled competition before, but not an Advanced or RX, and you are ready for the next step.

Intermediate Women: If you have been doing this sport for a while, have already mastered the scaled weights & skills and are looking for an extra push, then you should sign up in this division! In this division we program double unders, single leg T2B, pull-ups, wall walks, wall balls 9/6 KG and weightlifting and objects with slightly heavier weights than scaled but not too heavy. You may have done a Scaled competition before, but not an Advanced or RX, and you are ready for the next step.

Rookies Men: This division is beginner level. It is perfect for people who are new to the sport and for beginner athletes. Meaning you won't get heavy weights or difficult skills. In this division we program single unders, ring rows,/jumping pull-ups or elastics banded pull-ups. knee to raises, wall balls and weightlifting and objects with light
weights If you have already joined a competition in a higher division, or reached the finals of a scaled competition as and individual athlete, you are not allowed to sign up in this division. Level up and choose one of the next divisions. 

Rookies Women: This division is beginner level. It is perfect for people who are new to the sport and for
beginner athletes. Meaning you won't get heavy weights or difficult skills.  In this division we program single unders, ring rows,/jumping pull-ups or elastics banded pull-ups. knee to raises, wall balls and weightlifting and objects with light weights If you have already joined a competition in a higher division, or reached the finals of a scaled competition as and individual athlete, you are not allowed to sign up in this division. Master 35-39 Men: This division is for the more experienced athletes. If you have done most benchmark workouts, have mastered all the RX'D standards & weights, then you should definitely sign up in this category. In this division we program double unders, T2B, pull-ups, C2B pull-ups, muscle-ups, handstand walks, heavy wall balls, running and weightlifting and object with RX weights.

Master 40-44 Men: This division is for the more experienced athletes. If you have done most benchmark workouts, have mastered all the RX'D standards & weights, then you should definitely sign up in this category. In this division we program double unders, T2B, pull-ups, C2B pull-ups, muscle-ups, handstand walks, heavy wall balls, running and weightlifting and object with RX weights.

Master 45+ Men: This division is for the more experienced athletes. If you have done most benchmark workouts, have mastered all the RX standards & weights, then you should definitely sign up in this category. In this division we program double unders, T2B, pull-ups, C2B pull-ups, muscle-ups, wall walks, handstand push-ups, handstand walks, heavy wall balls 9/6 and weightlifting and objects with RX weight. The RX category is always allowed, unless you have competed in any Elite competition.

Masters Women: This division is for all advanced athletes who have mastered most of the standards but don’t reach all RX weights and standards yet. In this division we program double unders, T2B, Pull-ups, Wall walks, Wall balls 6 KG and Weightlifting and objects with weights that are slightly lighter than RX. You may have done a scaled or regular competition before and now you are ready for more challenging standards and weights. You are not allowed to sign up in this division if you already joined the RX division.

Team Men (RX'D): This division is for the more experienced athletes. If you have done most benchmark workouts, have mastered all the RX'D standards & weights, then you should definitely sign up in this category. In this division we program double unders, T2B, pull-ups, C2B pull-ups, muscle-ups, handstand walks, heavy wall balls, running and weightlifting and object with RX weights.

Team Mixed (RX'D): This division is for the more experienced athletes. If you have done most benchmark workouts, have mastered all the RX'D standards & weights, then you should definitely sign up in this category. In this division we program double unders, T2B, pull-ups, C2B pull-ups, muscle-ups, handstand walks, heavy wall balls, running and weightlifting and object with RX weights.

Team Intermediate: If you have been doing this sport for a while, have already mastered the scaled weights & skills and are looking for an extra push, then you should sign up in this division! WHERE DOES OLYMPUS FITNESS SHOWDOWN TAKE PLACE?
The OLYMPUS FITNESS SHOWDOWN takes place in 'ALCAZAR STADIUM', Morava 1 414 47 Larisa · ~1.2 km from, September 21-22, 2024.

WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION?
Parking in ALCAZAR PARK is limited. There are a few parking areas AROUND the Stadium.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
If there is no thunder or lightning within a 10 KM radius, competition will continue as scheduled, even in the rain.

MY PLANS HAVE CHANGED - CAN I GET A REFUND ON MY TICKET?
Unfortunately, no refunds are allowed.

To participate in the races requires full acceptance of the regulations:

  1. Athletes competing should understand that they are moving in an open, exposed to particular weather conditions that will prevail on that particular day of the event.
  2. Men and women of all ages are accepted.
  3. Valid participation is considered to be valid after it has been paid off financially.
  4. Participants are obliged to fully comply with the regulations set by the organizer. They are also obliged to obey the suggestions of the individuals (eg. volunteers, reviewers) designated by the organizer. Failure to comply with the regulations or instructions will result in the exclusion penalty, with no refund or any other costs. Any person authorized by the event manager may record any infringement that he has perceived and report it to the event manager.
  5. Any marking of the space provided by the event manager is temporary, intended to serve the participants, and is removed after the event.
  6. Athletes are involved at their own risk and the organizing authority is not responsible for any injuries they may have, as stated in the statement of responsibility or here. However, qualified medical personnel and a fully equipped ambulance will be available. There will also be rescue teams covering the event.
  7. Participants must have been examined by a physician who has judged them capable of participating in the particular event. Medical advice must not be older than 30 days from the last day of the event. The use of a mask is mandatory before the start and immediately after the finish of the race for the athletes.
  8. Athletes will be able to visit the toilets, which follow the safety and cleanliness protocols.
  9. It is strictly forbidden to dispose any kind of object during the whole event, such as plastic bottles or any other solid or liquid food packaging material used by athletes during the event. Disposal of packaging materials or other non-organic waste anywhere on the route beyond the predetermined, carries an exclusion penalty, no refund, or any other costs.
  10. The event manager undertakes to supervise the field of play with specialized personnel in safety, rescue, and medical assistance to the participants in need. In cases where security personnel and referees indicate to athletes that the event must be stopped for safety reasons, the latter is obliged to obey. Non-compliance means exclusion, no refund, or any other costs.
  11. In case of need, the event manager reserves the right to postpone the start of the event in order not to endanger the physical integrity of the participants. In very extreme conditions he can cancel the event.
  12. Participant exclusion occurs for: a) Pollution of the site. b) Inappropriate behavior towards the organizing staff. c) Inappropriate behavior towards the spectators of the event. d) Non-compliance with these Regulations.
  13. The organizers are not responsible for the deaths, injuries, or any damage to the health of the participants who, upon submitting their request for participation, declare that they are aware of the risks involved including those allegedly attributed to the negligent acts or omissions of the foregoing that their health status is good and allows them to participate, and they have recently been examined by a doctor on this subject. However, no participant will be required to submit a medical certificate. They are obliged to perform regular medical checkups in order to check their health status. The event managers disclaim any responsibility for the physical integrity of the participants, who should behave responsibly at any dangerous points on the route. The organizers disclaim any financial responsibility in the event of outside assistance to any athlete.
  14. Participants consent to be featured in photographs or any other media from the event, which shall be used exclusively to promote the event.
  15. The organizers have the authority to modify the rules and regulations of the event, with no further notice.

The ticket price is non-refundable. Athletes' registrations are non-refundable.
